A Junior Software engineer, a Senior Software engineer and their Project Manager are on their way to a meeting. On their way through a park, they come across a wonder lamp. They rub the lamp and a ghost appears. The ghost says, "Normally, one is granted three wishes but as you are three, I will allow one wish each". So the eager Junior Software engineer shouted, I want the first wish. I want to be in the Bahamas, on a fast boat and have no worries. "Pfufffff" and he was gone. Now the Senior Software engineer could not keep quiet and shouted " I want to be in Florida with beautiful girls, plenty of food and cocktails. "Pfufffff" and he was also gone. The Project Manager calmly said," I want these two idiots back in the office after lunch at 1.30pm" Moral of the story is: "Always allow the boss to speak first"

A very simple question:
"Why do we say that close and open are opposites of each other, thought we know that the person to whom we are very 'Close' is the one we are very 'Open' with ?"

Read this nice Quote, which I am dedicating to every Women:
She is a Mystery, the more you Discover, the more you're Astonished. She is the Magic, the more you Experience, the more you're Spellbound. She is Love, the more you Get, the more you Want.
"The beauty of a Woman, Isn't in the clothes she wear, the figure she carries, or the way she Smiles...
The beauty of a Woman, must be seen in her eyes, B'cos that is the the doorway to her heart, The place where the Love resides...
The beauty of a Woman, isn't in a facial mould, But the beauty of a Woman, is reflected by her soul...
The beauty of a Woman is in, the CARING that she gives, the PASSION that she shows, and this Beauty of Woman, with passing years, Only GROWS."
HAPPY WOMEN'S DAY !!!

Last sunday I watched the kannada movie "My Autograph" with my family. I loved the movie. Though the movie is a remake of a tamil movie 'Autograph', I liked it because of the concept of the movie and a couple of songs from the movie. The Actor of the movie, "Sudeep", himself has directed the movie. The costumes of the characters are selected really well. Good thing about the movie is that the interest in the movie sustains till the end of the movie. The 4 actress of the movie are - Meena, Sridevika, Deepu, Rashmi Kulkarni.
( Story behind the cut )
The most impressing character for me was the one played by "Meena". I was satisfied by the movie when I came out of the theatre. I felt that the movie was worth watching.

| You Are a Blue Flower | A blue flower tends to represent peace, openness, and balance. At times, you are very delicate like a cornflower. And at other times, you are wise like an iris. And more than you wish, you're a little cold, like a blue hydrangea. |

To My Friends Who Are............ENGAGED
The true measure of compatibility is not the years spent together but How good you are for each other.
To My Friends Who Are............MARRIED
Love is not about "it's your fault", but "I'm sorry", not "where are you' but "I'm right here", not "how could you" but "I understand", not "I wish you were", but "I'm thankful you are."
To My Friends Who Are............NOT SO SINGLE
Love isn't about becoming somebody else's "perfect person." It's About finding someone who helps you become the best person you can be.
To My Friends Who Are............HEARTBROKEN
Heartbreaks last as long as you want and cut as deep as you allow them to go. The challenge is not how to survive heartbreaks but to learn from them.
To My Friends Who Are............NAIVE
How to be in love: Fall but don't stumble, be consistent but not too persistent, share and never be unfair, understand and try not to demand, and get hurt but never keep the pain.
To My Friends Who Are............SEARCHING
True love cannot be found where it does not truly exist, nor can it be hidden where it truly does. Love is magic. The more we hide it, the more it shows; the more you suppress it, the more it grows.
To My Friends Who Are............PLAYBOY/GIRL TYPE
Never say I love if you don't care. Never talk about feelings if they aren't there. Never touch a life if you mean to break a heart. Never look in the eye when what you do is lie. The cruelest thing a person can do to another, is to let them fall in love when they don't intend to catch their fall.
To My Friends Who Are............POSSESSIVE
It breaks your heart to see the one you love happy with someone else But it's more painful to know that the one you love is unhappy with you.
To My Friends Who Are............AFRAID TO CONFESS
Love hurts when you break up with someone. It hurts even more when someone breaks up with you. But love hurts the most when the person you love has no idea how you feel.
To My Friends Who Are............STILL HOLDING ON
A sad thing about life is that when you meet someone who means a lot To you, only to find out in the end that it was never meant to be and we Just have to let go.
To My Friends Who Are............ SINGLE
Love is like a butterfly. The more you chase it, the more it eludes you. But if you just let it fly, it would come to you when you least expect it.
Love can make you happy but often times it hurts, but love's only special when you give it to someone who is worth it. So take your time and choose he best.
Wishing you an extremely prosperous, recession-controlled, economically-stimulated, employment-filled, portfolio-rebounding, debt-free, bonus-filled, war-free, air-safe, Terrorist-free, friends-filled, healthy, joyous and cheerful Valentines Day.

In an interview a candidate was asked the question "Why We dont Have pointers in JAVA?", to which he replied like this:
" I married a widow who had a grown-up daughter. My father, who visited us quite often, fell in love with my step daughter and married her. Hence, my father became my son-in-law, and my step-daughter became my mother. Some months later, my wife gave birth to a son, who became the brother in law of my father as well as my uncle. " " The wife of my father, that is my step daughter, also had a son. Thereby, i got a brother and at the same time a grandson. My wife is my grandmother, since she is my mother's mother. Hence, i am my wife's husband and at the same time her step-grandson; in other words, i am my own grandfather. "
" I guess that's why we don't have pointer in Java..."

12 Steps to a Positive Attitude More than 100 years ago, author Robert Louis Stevenson offered the following tips for maintaining a positive attitude. They still apply today. · Make up your mind to be happy. Learn to find pleasure in simple things. · Make the best of your circumstances. Everyone has problems. The trick is to make laughter outweigh the tears. · Don't take yourself too seriously. Don't think that somehow you should be protected from misfortunes that befall others. · You can't please everybody. Don't let criticism worry you. · Don't let your neighbor set your standards. Be yourself. · Do the things you enjoy doing, but stay out of debt. · Don't borrow trouble. Imaginary burdens are harder to bear than the actual ones. · Hate poisons the soul, so don't carry grudges. Avoid people who make you unhappy. · Have many interests. If you can't travel, read about new places. · Don't hold post-mortems. Don't spend your life brooding over sorrows and mistakes. · Do what you can for those less fortunate than yourself. · Keep busy at something. A busy person never has time to be unhappy.

A man was walking down the beach at sunset. As, he walked along, he saw another man in the distance. He noticed this man kept leaning down, picking up something and throwing it out into the water, again and again. As, he approached even closer, he noticed that the man waspicking up starfish that had been washed up on the beach. He was throwing them back into the water, one by one.
Puzzled, he approached the man and said,
"Good Evening. I was wondering what you are doing."
"I'm throwing these starfish back into the ocean. You see, it's low tide and all these starfish have been washed up onto the shore. If, I don't throw them back into the ocean, they'll die up here from lack of oxygen."
"But, there must be thousands of starfish on this beach. You can't possible get to all of them. And, don't you realize this is probably happening on hundreds of beaches all up and down this coast. Can't you see that you can't possibly make a difference?"
The man bent down and picked up yet another starfish, and threw it back into the ocean. With a smile he replied, "Made a difference to that one!!!"
Just remember, no matter how small the deed it really does makes a difference.
Make a difference today.
Do something nice for someone else, and you will get pleasure.

We (Applibase team) decided to celebrate new year on 30th friday at office, as 1st was sunday. This was decided very late i.e., on 26th, when shruthi_dipali gave us a treat at corner shop for her new car. First thought we will play Secret angel game, then as we were very close to New Year, we decided against it. But we decided that we will play some group games on friday.
Serious plans about the games started on Tuesday. Some of the games on the list were : Karoake, some card games. Most of them were not interested in karaoke, so had to drop it from the list very soon. The discussion stopped here.
This is the moment when I started a secret discussion about the games with fiveonehalf. First we started looking at some group games on the net and found lot of them. Besides, these games, Preethi suggested me that we can give a surprise gift to all our colleagues by conducting lucky dip. That was a wonderful idea. The same day we went to buy gifts after office. Both of us were very excited to buy so many gifts, but at the same time it was a tough job to select so many gifts at a time. We both had a great time buying gifts.
Other than these gifts, we also bought prizes for some games. One of the group game that was decided by this time was Baloon tower. But we got one more prize for which we had not yet decided the game. We both decided to take 24hrs time and decide on the game. Next day, I suggested that we can conduct Ek Minute competition and it will be real fun. We took 2 days to decide all the games that we wanted to include in Ek Minute and were very eagerly waiting for the day.
To know more about the day, read here.

It was raining heavily outside. Dark clouds gathered in the sky and nature was in its ominous best. I took a break from my work and went to the pantry to grab a cup of coffee. I had a sip and went near the window to see the rain pouring down heavily outside the glass structure. I was inside our huge office building, unruffled by even the fierceness of the nature. Through the heavy transparent glass, I could see a small girl trying to hold on to her umbrella which the wind was snatching away from her. I felt sorry for the girl, and was happy that I was not in a similar pathetic situation...Read On...

Try out... This is good one...
 You are a Carnation:
You are friendly, energetic, cheerful, and bubbly. You love being around people. Outgoing and talkative, you rarely meet a stranger. Others feel at ease around you because of your playful nature.
Symbolism: In Victorian times carnations were given to show fascination with another. They also symbolize friendship and whimsicalness.
